Note from Rick on the Fall 2016 Haulout
I have not included boats on trailers because I don’t know who wants to use the crane to lift their boat into their trailers. If you intend to use the crane, let the office or myself know. If I have omitted you, again let the office or me know.
My plan is to lift both big and small boats at the same time. Lloyd Kerslake will coordinate the big boats, Jim Gaw the small. We will start by moving Adaweable, then work our way down the shed line, up the roadway, stopping at Anam Cara, filling in the roadway space in the L of the shed line and the roadway, then proceed from Stargazer up the road. At the same time the yard trailer will be bringing SB cradles starting with Althea, Chianti etc. We will be using a 90T crane (cheaper that 110T) The Irving rep is sure it’ll be able to do the job.
We need 3 or 4 volunteers to pressure wash, and a couple to help Greg Grandy with zodiacs. As usual, please stay for the entire day.
I cannot say with certainty how many boats we will get out each day, so I don’t know when your boat will be lifted. Boats on trailers that want to use the crane can just show up at the club when they want to be lifted, let myself or Lloyd know they are here and we will tell you when to bring your boat to the lifting area.
Don’t forget, everyone must see Pat and pay the lift fee up front and get a time card made up and put in the book before they can be lifted, no tickee, no liftee. Everyone must pay by the 17th.
Crane fees will be promulgated soon, the office is still trying to figure out the best and easiest way to handle the credit that is owed to everyone from the 2016 launch.
