SYC Annual Pig Roast and Harvest Pot Luck – September 16, 2017

This is one of our most popular events of the year.  George Carson will start the pig roasting vigil around 2 am this year.  Drop in company is always appreciated as he keeps watch throughout the night and day.  An open mike session will be adding a special musical treat for the evening.

There is no need to reserve for this event. The cost  is an item for the potluck table – it doesn’t have to be homemade and doesn’t even have to have an autumn/fall aspect to it.  Just bring something that appeals to your taste for the evening.

The bar will open at 6:30 pm and the meal will be served at 7 pm.

Volunteers are appreciated around 6:30 pm to assist with the lifting of the pig off of the grill and carving.  Help will especially be needed, as well, needed to help with the clean up.  If you can give hand please let Pat know at 902-469-8590.

Please note:  the club will be closed during the afternoon on September 16.

Friday Night BBQ and Corn Boil

Image result for corn boilWe are adding a little extra to the usual BBQ menu this coming Friday evening – free corn!  Please reserve by Wednesday evening by leaving a message at 902-469-8590.  We will strive to accommodate drop in diners – there will always be an entree for the grill but unfortunately cannot guarantee the side dishes.

Image result for family bbq clipartCome on down to the club and enjoy good steak at a great price.  We also offer chicken, salmon and hamburgers as well and are always exploring new options.  All meals are accompanied by sides and dessert.  And, of course, you get to enjoy the great company of other SYC members.  The BBQ meals are self-cook but there is always someone around to help with the BBQ aspect if needed. The bar will open at 6 pm and the BBQs fired up and ready to go for 6:30.

Reservations are requested by Wednesday evening. Just call 902-469-8590 and leave a message, including the number of people you are reserving for and what you would like to eat – steak, chicken, salmon or hamburger.  We will strive to accommodate drop in diners.  There will always be an entree for the grill but cannot guarantee side dishes.

The cost of the meals is $12.00 for steak; $10.00 for chicken and salmon.  Children under 12 years of age eat for 1/2 price; children under 6 years eat for free.
